Dear Mr Vaughan Williams

Your letter with regard to “On Wenlock Edge” has had my consideration and I think a fair proposal would be to pay you £30 down for the plates and copyright including 1/3rd share of Mechanical rights royalties which we would in future collect, and a royalty of 1 s /= per copy on the complete cycle, 1s/6 per copy on the complete cycle with strings and 3d per copy on the separate strings, 13 copies in each case to count as 12
If you will let us know how many copies there are in stock we would allow you a liberal price for the papers and print; these copies would go into our stock and you would receive the agreed royalties upon them.
I am
Yours truly

Arthur Boosey

PS. I presume you will want us to take over the American rights and this we shall be happy to do and pay you the equivalent of the English royalties

R. Vaughan Williams Esq
