April 24th [1900]

My dear Herr Gatty,

Your letter was delightful reading & since then we have heard from Hooton that all is settled & you have a Profession – it certainly has most splendid vistas & I can’t tell you what pleasure this good news gives us – we must come out to Berlin soon to see you in yr new glory.1
I hope you’ll find it pleasant work. We shall have to change our daily paper wh is the Morning Post – the reason of our having so fashionable a one being that it is remarkably good on the War.

Yours sincerely

Adeline Vaughan Williams
