Letter from Adeline Vaughan Williams to Ralph Vaughan Williams
Letter No.: VWL1206
Sunday aft [5th September 1937]
Dear one.
I didnt forget my promise – yr address is on the mantel piece.
Boo1 & I spent all the lovely aftern in garden & had tea there. Today is cooler but lovely too and we’ve been reading in the garden & now have come indoors for tea as its windy.
Boo went to Nursing home this morning & saw Josiah.2 He was in bed – There is no question of a drive – he told Boo his concussion is well but his heart is not right & he can’t manage walking upstairs. I expect all this has been kept from Jos – He longs to get home – naturally –
Boo thought him wonderful to look at & I’m sure the visit was a success –
Shall think so much of rehearsal tomorrow – all is well here
