Dear Miss Scott
That is a lovely little rose tree – I do thank you. I am sitting up in my room now and can make a few steps. We are going into the country next month – we shall like that – it was so kind of you to write – and you have always so much to think of & do – I am so glad that your father is making good progress now. It is wonderful that you have managed to go to see poor Ivor.1 Always let us know if there is anything that we can help in for him.
Yours very sincerely
Adeline Vaughan Williams
1. Ivor Gurney, the composer, was in a psychiatric hospital.
