Letter from Adeline Vaughan Williams to Marion Scott
Letter No.: VWL3243
From A R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
Monday [1935-1937]
Dear Miss Scott
We are concerned to hear about Ivor – can we help? I suppose it is not pneumonia?1
If you think he would like some fruit may I trouble you to send him – grapes – or anything else with our love.
I know that Ralph is either phoning – or writing – to ask if a visit wd be advisable.
I have had poor Ivor in my mind lately
Yours very sincerely
Adeline Vaughan Williams
1. Ivor Gurney, the composer, was in a psychiatric hospital.
