Dear Miss Scott
I must add my line of thanks for your letter & congratulations.1
The many nice letters are being a great pleasure to us both.
I know you will let us hear how Ivor is when you have time.2
We were talking about him to Gerald Finzi – who would I am sure go to see him but he thought that it might be painful to Ivor and it is only you who can judge of this.
Yours very sincerely
Adeline Vaughan Williams

I suppose it wouldn’t be possible to let Ivor have a change this summer – are there no Drs houses where he cd spend a fortnight in comparative freedom & quiet – or wd it only be cruel?

1. It is not clear what for.
2. Ivor Gurney, the composer, was in a psychiatric hospital.
