Dear Joyce

Your stocks are a great delight to me – a stronger scent now that they have had more sun & what a wonderful scent it is – and I admire the kind & colour so much.
“Bruno”1 made a very nice impression on us. Your flowers were a happy start.
I am facing the din & going up to Queens Hall this evening as there is no rehearsal this morning wh I would have preferred.2 There was a full rehearsal3 at Covent Garden4 last evening – so what the balance will be tonight R cannot guess. Love from us
