New Years Day [1940]

Dear Joyce

I hope all is going well with you & Gerald & the family – Love & wishes from us.
I know you will be interested to hear that Hon1 is going to be married. Do you know Bernard Brown? He is a trumpeter & is now a trumpeter in the Irish Guards & stationed in London. There will again be a Dorking wedding – but this time in a church & with R. O. M.2 to give Hon away – probably the beginning of Feb. It is a very happy affair. We all like him.
Yours
