April 4 [1934]
Dear Miss Boyle
Your violets were heavenly. They came at tea time the day they were sent and the Postman could scarcely bear to give them up- Thank you very much from us all-
I was relieved to hear that you were released from Nursing home and able to hear Betty’s ‘Land’1 – And I do hope that your sister is much better again. We are so sorry for the bad time you have been having –
Yours sincerely
Adeline Vaughan Williams
