Letter from Adeline Vaughan Williams to Gerald Finzi
Letter No.: VWL1010
The White Gates,
Saturday [17th September 1932]
Dear Mr Finzi
Honorine1 writes that instead of going home or to London with Carr2 may they both come to Dorking on Monday. Carr goes up ‘daily heading’ every morning & we hope that you will feel that you can go on quietly in your own way. Both of them will understand completely.
Thank you so much for looking after the post for us. Our move here is so far a great success.
1. Honorine Williamson
2. Rosamond Carr, a friend and frequent visitor to the VWs. She corresponded regularly with AVW.
Date from postmark. Addressed to Finzi at the White Gates where he was ‘house-sitting’.
