Dear Diana
I find it difficult to know what to say! The size of your desk means that there might not be space for it in R’s work room & if it isn’t there it certainly should be nowhere else! He has to have a large table on which to “spread” & wall space is rather taken up when there is a piano & a radiator & a set of drawers – I feel in a quandary for it would be so disappointing to find it couldn’t be well placed. Do re-consider the matter – and if not too late leave it at Pauntley for the present.1
I’ll pass on your suggestion to Mr Hope if I get the chance.
Carr2 is coming here for a week tomorrow – she got poisoned in Scotland & has been given 2 weeks holiday after a week in a nursing home. She’s all right again –
Love from your
