Monday [30th July 1934]
Dear Diana
Lovely of you to write – Uncle R is dressed today – has got to his study on crutches. He is very happy to be out of bed – and I feel very happy about him – for he has an excellent Scotch nurse who is devoted & severe.
I couldn’t write to you about your brother – I knew the pang & how for ever it changes the age for one.
Love
AMVW
