Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to H. Raymond Barnett
Letter No.: VWL2043
From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
June 20 [?1946]
Dear Mr Barnett
I am very glad to hear you are safe home in England – what a terrible time you must have had. I did not write as I thought you wd be on the move. I have asked Novello to send you a selection of Folk-songs. I am also sending herewith a copy of my “Tallis” – I fear it is not a new copy as I have not one by me – I hope you will not [mind] the few pencil marks – I have evidently used it for conducting off some time.
With kind regards
Yours sincerely
R. Vaughan Williams
