Dear Rutland,

Alas – I am still in hospital – I shall be out again soon.¹ And I feel very well: but the doctor will not allow me to go to Worcester.²  It would have given us both such pleasure to meet you and Kathleen again – we must hope for some time when you are in London.

PS. Ralph has made a splendid recovery, and after a few weeks quiet at home, convalescing, he will be about 200% ++.  He’s been able to work in hospital, which has made it less tedious for him.
