2025 Vaughan Williams Scholarships

For more than 40 years Vaughan Williams funding has been awarded to support postgraduate study in composition.

The 270 previous recipients have included Graham Fitkin, Julian Anderson, Christian Alexander, Anna Meredith, Larry Goves, Gavin Higgins, Hannah Kendall and Daniel Kidane.

This year the Foundation extended funding opportunities to PhD students and we are pleased to announce four new scholarships, totalling £32,000, for the 25-6 academic year.

The new Vaughan Williams Scholars are (clockwise from top L):

Lucy Holmes Masters Studies at the Guildhall School of Music

Tom Burkhill Masters Studies at the Royal Academy of Music

André Faria Serra Masters Studies at the Guildhall School of Music

Elliott Park Doctoral Studies at the University of Cambridge
